An unexpected downside of using 24 hour time is that you no longer get to giggle at 4:20 unless your sleep schedule is really out of whack.

Apparently, if you write a C function declaration with no parameters and don't put void in the parameter section, you can call the function with an arbitrary number of parameters without so much as a warning from GCC.

What the heck? C++ is actually going to codify signed integer arithmetic as being two's compliment, eliminating large swaths of UB/IDB at a stroke!
