Hey everyone! How are you?Long time no see.

So, is there a trick to stop dreaming about work? I like my work, but I already work 40-60 hour weeks while I’m awake, I’d rather not work in my sleep too. Yet every single night I dream about work, mostly I’m half-awake, talking in my sleep. This bothers me. Does anyone else have this problem?

I dreamt that I was on vacation on a beautiful island in the Caribbean. However, it was a bit chilly, and kinda rainy. Not much sun.

So I had a literal dream vacation, and it was just sort of okay; below average. What does this say about me as a person?!

There appears to be a trans activist vandal in my neighbourhood! Now I just need to find out who they are so I can befriend them!

I have been unable to post pictures the last few days. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Im using #Amaroq on an iPhone. Does @eurasierboy have a solution?

I really wish my dad would stop misgendering me.

I know that I’m very privileged - I rarely get misgendered anymore, and almost everyone around me is accepting and loving. I’m very grateful for this. But I still really really wish he’d take the step from accepting that I am a woman, and trying to gender me correctly, to actually seeing me as a woman. And I wish being misgendered didn’t hurt so much.

After seeing a video of myself playing roller derby - two decimetres taller than the other players, swaying and tackling, all stick figure limbs and bulky protective gear - I'm considering changing my derby name to "slenderwoman".

I don't believe in any deities, but if I did I'd thank them right now. My application was approved. Im finally legally female. My happiness is a bit dampened by anger over the fact that I needed to "prove" my gender to a government agency, but I'm very relieved.

Just found out that I've received a letter from the government agency that decides if I get to correct my legal gender. So many mixed emotions about this. Hopeful - I've been waiting two years for this. Angry that they have to power to randomly deny my request. I'm going to go work out as planned, then open the letter tonight. Regardless of the outcome, I have no idea how I'm going to react. #trans

Estrogen levels are finally normalised, I've helped replace a knee today, and I have two more coming up this afternoon. I have some spare time between surgeries, a comfortable armchair and a cup of coffee. Life's pretty good right now.

When I'm commuting, and the train stops in a tunnel, nine times out of ten, the driver will say: "we've had to stop because there's a red light ahead of us" as if the red light were some kind of supernatural force, and not just an indicator of an actual issue that requires the train to stop. This annoys me way beyond what's reasonable.

Surgery can be lots of fun. Two things that are seriously holding me back from being a surgeon:

1: I hate wearing a mask. It makes me feel claustrophobic.
2: For years, I'd be an assistant, not the main surgeon. The main surgeon decides the height of the operating table according to what's comfortable for them. I'm taller than 80% of the male population, and 99% of the female population. My back is killing me.
