I'm curious, am I the only #trans woman who gets less dysphoria in heels? It feels like I'm consenting to being tall, rather than being obligated to be tall somehow.
@ikea_femme My height does not cause me that much dysphoria - I know it makes it harder for me to pass (I'm 185 cm/6'1) but aesthetically I rather like the amazon look ๐. But yeah, I absolutely feel better about myself in heels.
@ikea_femme Heels are awesome. ๐ Going to London in a few months, mainly so that I can buy some clothes and shoes that are actually my size. Very few stores carry clothes/shoes for tall women with big feet where I live.
@ikea_femme That's nice! It happens occasionally that I can wear a women's 42, which is the biggest shoe size most stores carry, but it's rare.
That doesn't sound creepy to me. I'd be flattered to get a question like that. Wouldn't you?
@Dimduning I'm in the US, so I'm lucky to be at the edge of some store's shoe sizes (12W). Torrid and Payless tend to have extremely cheap shoes in my size, but not that much variety.
There's actually a (presumably cisgender) woman about my height in one of my classes who looks like she'd have the same shoe size, and she always has the cutest boots. But I'm afraid to ask where she shops and look like a creep.
