I finished Power Rangers RPM in such high spirits and so excited for sentai storytelling that I immediately went into Samurai and had that ruined like it was a fucking orgasm in the hands of a cruel dominatrix. Holy shit Samurai is so fucking terrible.

I hope Ninja Theory never makes another action game again and buckles down and commits to making story-heavy, thematic, tense horror games because they are basically perfect for it and you can literally *feel* how close they are to being brilliant but fall short because Senua's gotta do sick flying knee into a spinning slash combo.

I think that if Hellblade had a few design changes and cranked down combat, it could have been Silent Hill 2 again. It's really smartly constructed in facial tech, graphical design, and an incredibly sensitive and honest depiction of mental illness, gaslighting, abuse, and trauma.

Honestly I think I would have liked Kill All Normies more if it was just better written. She did more to go into details on her episode of Chapo than she did in her book. There IS something to transgression culture, 4chan vs tumblr, and the like, but I wanted more than a history book.
