@themostchill this is a better theory than the one about Craig getting the idea from a kid who hallucinated everything
@Zeether hallucination/coma/purgatory cartoon theories are almost never good (and often a tiny bit ableist)
@themostchill Yes they are
I also hate the "Pigeon Man actually died" theory because he didn't
@Zeether HE'S JUST A GOOD MAN WHO LOVES HIS PIGEONS. LEAVE HIM ALONE, INTERNET CARTOON THEORISTS!
@themostchill He also is coming back in The Jungle Movie so anyone claiming this is automatically incorrect
@Zeether the best cartoon theories are actually about the subtext and coded meaning in the character/setting design. I once wrote a huge essay for funsies about how super pro-nuclear family Rugrats is by analyzing the parallels between each baby's quirk and their respective parent's divergence from Tommy's "normal" family.
@Zeether CARTOON THEORY: Arnold's bedroom is actually just a representation of what is happening in his moments of deep introspection! Except it's not a strictly abstract room.
The direction of Hey Arnold decided to make Arnold's room into a sort of sanctuary from the outside world. So they created a physical space that is Arnold's abstract mind made tangible (remember how it's in the house's attic?). It's effectively his internal safe space turned external.
