Currently pruning my follow list and I find myself thinking, "Do I want to keep this person?"
I know what I meant but the concept of "keeping" a person threw me off a bit
@bvtsang That was always my issue with pruning follows on FB and twitter.
I have memories and personal interactions with people, and it felt really cold to think "you don't bring me value"
@Neff For Facebook and Twitter that was also the case for me, but on Mastodon it's not because 1) sometimes I follow people to add variety to my timeline and tell myself it's okay if I decide later that I'm not interested 2) some people haven't posted in months and I don't really interact with them
okay i think I unfollowed like 200 people phew that was a lot of inactive accounts
it's kinda like cleaning the house to welcome in the new year
