@chris_martin well... For now. But the beautiful thing is if your server admin implements tracking you can just switch to an instance that doesn't track!

I've wondered if shortURLs going to come back in style? IIRC they originated because of twitter's limitations. Tracking was a secondary effect IIRC.
@chris_martin Yes! Saves the trouble of going to the site and stripping the tracking extensions off the URLs.
@chris_martin However, there is a known bug for URLs with & in them getting rewritten as & - not sure of any workaround except URL shorteners (ugh.)
