After I tooted this, some rando with a Guy Fawkes mask avatar told me that the admin of that instance is 'a really good guy'. But apparently not good enough to ban all the nazis from his instance.

If I ran an instance that had become overrun with shitlords to the extent I didn't feel I could clean it up, I'd just nuke it and replace it with a static page saying 'This is why we can't have nice things'.

Please do not boost toots from the instance sh//itposter.cl//ub. It is a great url, but it's full of nazis. I don't want to see them in my timeline and I will block anyone from there on sight. If you run an instance, please blocklist them.

If you're from that instance/have an account there and are annoyed at being generalised like this because you reckon you're one of the good ones, ask yourself why you're okay with being on an instance infamous for hosting nazis.

I only realised recently that War Pigs is _eight minutes_ long. It's such a good song that you don't notice time passing and you think it's just a little 2-minute thing.

Also I can never ever remember what I put for Just Eat or Hungry House or whatever, so I just make a new account each time (I use 33mail.com as a re-directer, which lets you generate WHATEVER@YOURUSERNAME.33mail.com aliases on the fly).

Who else uses 'I've forgotten my password'/'Get a code texted to your phone' as a login for some places more than the actual password?

I'm going to try and mostly use @pixelguff at the NEW INSTANCE I MADE. Anyone who's not a total dickbulb is welcome to join bibeogaem.zone.

I'll still be here too though because if I spread out I can cause more damage.

I'm @Inskora on bibeogaem.zone!

Fair warning - this instance is a spinoff of the irc channel bibeogaem on irc.foonetic.net (more details: potato.town/irc/ ), which can get very puerile and probably isn't to everyone's taste. If you're like me and still find poo bum winky humour funny, you might like it there.

I'm still going to be here on Icosahedron - follow as many or as few of my accounts as you'd like!

Friendly reminder that Thatcher's still dead and David Cameron fucked a pig.

It's kinda weird to think about a social network where businesses own their own presences, rather than relying on a capricious third party service like Twitter or Facebook. Imagine NBC or The Verge running a Mastodon instance for their reporters to toot from, or Bethesda operating an instance for PR and customer support. No more lost business when Facebook changes their algorithms again because they need more money from boosted posts.

Weird, right?

I'm going to end up buying Formula Fusion from the Steam Early Access shop, aren't I?

I've never bought an early access game before, because my attitude is 'pfft, I'm not paying for something that's not even finished'. But I keep thinking 'remember that fun time you had playing it at Rezzed even in its unfinished state? You could have that at home whenever you wanted.'

I hope Icosa stops federating with sh//itposter cl//ub - it was nice being able to browse the federated timeline without seeing them.
