Parser IF on Ink from Delacannon. Doesn't have a world model so "examine self" wouldn't work 😟

This is the Hubble extreme deep field. With the exception of (from what I can find) 3 foreground stars, every object you see in this picture is a galaxy. Can you find the foreground stars? Know the trick?

Happy birthday WeeChat, 15 years!
On June 26th 2003, my search for a free IRC client with text interface, builtin nicklist and extensible with scripts was unsuccessful, so I (@flashcode) decided to write my own client from scratch. Starting point of a long and fun adventure!

Been playing for 2 hours and I'm still so bad at this game. It's a mix between a peaceful meditation and a harsh slot machine. And my luck is not giving me any cherries.

Finally playing WtWTLW (turns out there was a stealth-update that fixed the crashing). Screwed over myself in the first hour because all the stories I get are mysterious, romantic, sad… anything but happy. The game just won't let me progress if i don't agree to read a happy story. And I'm not in the mood.

IMO, fully simulated interactive storytelling is like translating a LARP game into a computer adventure.

It is doable, but it won't be the classical definition of "fun" because in LARP there can be no story, you can fail to see every story beat around you; in a computer adventure, there should be a story AND it should involve you from the start to finish. And it should be playable, which - again - is not always the case.

In 10 years we gonna have algorithms in place that no one remembers how they work. Algorithms that are stronger than traditions. And they gonna have bugs in them.
