today's pondering: with all the noise of everyone talking and sharing, is there any reason for me to add my flawed voice to the general cacophony? do my thoughts have any meaning other than to myself? and even if they do, is it useful for me to share them?

be it fiction or essay or link to someone else's work, sometimes i wonder if i should hold my tongue and practice silence.

the irony of saying this here is not lost on me. lol.

@pixelpaperyarn meh, talking is good! sharing is good! make all the things and get the love! XD

@aredridel thank you m'dear. โค that means a lot.

@pixelpaperyarn i like to see your thoughts.

i worry about this all the time too. i feel like posting things is redundant and how could anyone possibly care what i, a rando, have to say about things.

@magpie i love seeing others' stuff, too. so i guess i just have to keep remembering that we're all in this together and this kind of sharing is what makes us us.

@pixelpaperyarn Hey! I feel like we've tangentially interacted so often in a lot of places (slack, here, amongst others), but I don't think I've actually had a direct conversation with you. So, I guess now's as good a time as any?

I think a lot of people have already said something similar, but I do appreciate your words. I love seeing people make things, even though I don't really say much in response (something I should be better at)

@pixelpaperyarn

And as a creator myself, I'm awful at putting out my own thoughts, and I think a lot of the same of what you expressed, except I usually don't actually say anything. I'm a bit envious, because it seems that even with those doubts, you can say your mind, which is something I'm really still working on.

So, yeah. That's my input, at least. I've been lurking a lot and not saying much, but I hope we can talk more, at some point in the future.

@amorphous thank you! we have indeed passed in the hall many times, which is lovely!

and yes do please put your thoughts out there more often!

@pixelpaperyarn this is basically why I've never made videos for YouTube.

Everyone and their dog is doing it, and the few that are actually good at it cover techie DIY stuff & tutorials way better than I can.

Then again, for my own blog or social media people could argue the same. So maybe it's just a confidence thing? ๐Ÿค”

@bobstechsite for me it's a combo confidence and being afraid of saying something that will make people angry at me? if my tone is a little not as intended or i say something that i didn't think there was anything wrong with but someone gets offended by, i have trouble fixing the error and that's discouraging.
