I make music when I can. I own too many synthesizers. I program C++ for money, but it's usually reasonably fun.

One of my hobbies over the last five years has been to collect and show people the weirdest stuff on YouTube. But I find that in the last year YouTube weirdness is just... gone. Buried in algorithmically generated Top 10 videos.
That whole "kids YouTube" video fiasco was only discoverable if you mainlined videos for babies for a week until the algorithm freaked out and gave you terrifying trash.
If there's weird stuff on YouTube it no longer ever appears in the related videos list.
Kinda weird how one argument Sebastian gives Ariel against humans is that they literally kill and eat his and Ariel's friends but Ariel is like "yeah, but legs, tho." #2deep

I recently discovered this kids show Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir and I'm totally amazed by how good it is. The writing is good and the design and animation is really high quality. It's not Disney or any big studio. Feels like it came out of nowhere.
Today's weird Bandcamp thing: albums with only one three-minute track priced at 10 USD. What's up with that?
