@u2764 the problem in your statement is that you generalize. I know both, boring young and old people. But because I may be older than you, I have the experience over a longer period that boring young people get older as also interesting people and both don't change...

Boring old people where also boring when they were young, they just spent more energy selling it well back then. Any of their proximity to coolness is just historic coincidence. Like, it wasn't very original to be a Beatles Fan in the 60s.
