ICE is fucked up and takes queer kids out of their schools and communities and sends them off to countries where they will get locked up instead of protecting them and granting them political asylum. You can't claim to care about LGBT rights and not be worried about this. It's really really bad.

Do you think queer kids get good lawyers to fight for them in court? Do you think people are lining up to help the black trans girl who they placed in the wrong facility to get out? JFC this stuff gets me mad.

@u2764 I think we should stop associating identities with criminality. You are what you are, but you may undertake some action that the government has deemed illegal and face penalty for it. To call anybody 'illegal' is to strip the value from the rest of their identity.

@oneoffsuit The government considers their identity illegal, is what I mean. Their existence (here or there) is against the law. Of course, I am with you in saying that this is not the way things should be.
