I'm lying in bed and brainstorming ideas lmao. What would I do if right now was a date.

Drive into town and get burgers to go. Sit in the parking lot and feed each other milkshake-covered fries. Get progressively cozier as the night turns cold.

Put on something danceable and romantic, like Feist's ‘The Reminder.’ Dance a good show for a while, but eventually retire to a reclined snuggle on the couch with the music turned down low.

Get tipsy, hide under the covers, eat s'mores, and make out. It's okay if the sheets get a little messy. I'll lick the crumbs off your chest.

Play video games, only I'm tired and my heart isn't in winning. I rest my head on your lap as you do a solo campaign, not really paying attention to the screen.

These are all wonderful date night ideas yall should be taking notes for the next time you want to woo an awesome girl like me. I'm just saying.

Go watch an action movie, but like a good one not something dumb like the Avengers. Share a Coke and popcorn and afterwards just drive around town with future funk playing softly through the stereo.

If it's daytime, pack sodas and a lunch and just drive out to the middle of fuck nowhere and hike around through the sagebrush. Make out against the side of your car when you return.

The best date I ever went on… well it was more of a weeklong roadtrip and it turned out not actually going so great but I don't think my heart has ever beat stronger.

Literally just hide the fuck out. Don't see anyone, don't go outside, don't change out of your pajamas. For like the whole day. Fix a nice breakfast, with orange juice (if you didn't have sex the night before) or English Breakfast (if you did).

You may think I'm being oddly specific with my drink choices here but let me tell you this shit matters.

If you have access and can afford it, go see a play and have a nice dinner before or afterwards. Talk about the performance when you get done.

@u2764 I always feel that time spent not talking during a date is time wasted :/

@Orwellia Talking is super important and great but I think the goal (imo) is to reach a level of understanding with a person where you don't have to be talking all the time to know what they're thinking. A lot of my ideas are probably not first-date material though.

@u2764 This is true, as someone who is terrible at nonverbal communication it;s difficult to get to that stage. First dates are never much fun in reality though so who cares about those.
