@Dialectrical @twsh That's pretty much how I do it, too. Also, I write a fair number of short documents intended for sharing within my research group, and each of those has a bibliography.
@Dialectrical @twsh ... Most of my reading for my job is journal articles, with a few textbooks and monographs thrown in. A primary function of note-taking is to be able to locate the one bit in a paper that is relevant to what we work on, amid all the rest of it that isn't.
