it's been ages since i last had to use github. the change is... interesting 
@jacqueline are any of the alternatives meaningfully better? i am trying to shift my projects away from it
@ErinRose @jacqueline I've moved some projects to sourcehut and some to codeberg; they're different but both really good
as a user I prefer sourcehut but codeberg is a user-owner coop where you can participate in governance which is cool as hell
gitlab on the other hand is clunky and buggy, and also VC funded so they'r probably going to be spouting "AI" nonsense any day now
@technomancy @ErinRose codeberg is users-owned, sourcehut is user-owned (the user is drew) :P
